First Look: Blake Lively for Chanel!!

Here it is guys, the first picture of Blake as the new face of the Chanel's Mademoiselle bags!

She looks amazing, the whole thing is amazing! Even the bag looks pretty good and this is coming from someone who isn't really a big fan of the Mademoiselle bags.

It's just gorgeous, all of it! So exciting!!

CHANEL Hosts Intimate Dinner in Honor of Blake Lively in Paris.

Once again Chanel honored Blake Lively, except this time it was in Paris during Fashion Week and seeing as she can't attend the Chanel show on Tuesday, she'll have to do with this dinner in honor of her!
Being the new face of the Mademoiselle bag's she naturally had one with her!

Here are some pictures of Blake on the night

Dress: Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2008
Blake wore this beautiful Couture silver dress that was drenched in sequins, I love that Blake isn't afraid to be sexy and feminine instead of trying to look 'kooky' it definitely makes her special. That body of hers is amazing, dear Lord to have those legs, she's looking the best I've ever seen her! And besides I'm glad to see her in silver as I don't think I've seen her in a similar piece before so its refreshing to see her in this.
A definite 'Best Blake Dresses' runner!

The lovely lady herself was looking stunning! I love her natural make-up, they gold eyes are a must for Blake and I'm glad she chose a little colour on the lips it gives her whole look that 'pop' because everything else blends together. I love her cascading waves, I'm glad she wore her hair down as she's been wearing it up for a while. She looks amazing!

Jewellery: Lorraine Schwartz
As always Blake wore Lorraine Schwartz jewellery, I'm beginning to think she's her favourite jeweler but none the less the pieces were gorgeous and complemented her already sparkly dress. From what I can see Blake only wore two pieces of jewellery, that gorgeous ring in the picture above and the pearl/diamond earrings which you can see in the first picture. Gorgeous!

Shoes: Christian Louboutin's ''Salsbourg'' sandals.
Blake wore this popular Louboutin which I felt went pretty well with her dress, some said it was slightly distracting and I can see why but the dress is wow enough to keep the attention on itself.  And anyway, Louboutin's are always amazing!

Can't wait to see what she wears next!

Leighton in 2011, so far!

As I'm sure you know, I loveeee Leighton Meester and everything she wears so naturally I want to blog about her 2011 outfits so far!
She hasn't attended too many events but it's enough to fill a post for and besides, it's only March!
Here are her outfits of 2011...so far!

In a Vionnet Spring 2011 dress at the People's Choice Awards paired with Brian Atwood's 'Ella' pump. Stunning!

In a gorgeous Versace Resort 2011 dress paired with Louboutin's Fastissima ankle boots.

In Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2011 at the Golden Globes 2011 paired with a Louis Vuitton tassel clutch and Jimmy Choo's Zafira sandals. My favourite Golden Globes dress for sure, she looked amazing and completely different to the other attendees! A sure favourite!

Wearing a Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2011 dress at the premiere of The Roommate. I loved this when I saw it, its pretty different to what Leighton usually wears this is very dominatrix looking because of the cut out leather but a nice change. I loved the poker straight hair too! Oh and the shoes which you can't see are Brian Atwood's ''Helena'' platform pumps.

Wearing a fabulous Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 dress with lots of beading and different colours, I love that she chose this low cut, sexy dress because it's not really like Leighton to show a lot of cleavage but I think it looks gorgeous! The heels are Roger Vivier's Bow Chic Sandals, lovely!

Leigh in a two tone Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2011 dress at a press conference for 'The Roommate'. Lovely! The shoes are Brian Atwood's ''Lola'' suede leather  pumps!

In Proenza Schouler at Nylon's party for Leigh's cover. I wasn't too fond of it at first but I've come to really love it, I think the colours look fantastic on her, it all just looks so effortless and it works! The shoes are Brian Atwood's ''Bettina'' pumps, a lot of Brian Atwood heels this year for Leighton!

In Emanuel Ungaro Pre-Fall 2011, I love this dress on her it's quite girly and fun yet strong with the long sleeves and structure plus the dark greens and purples mixed with the brighter colours make it a much darker and more interesting dress rather that it just being 'florally'. The heels are by Pierre Hardy Spring 2011.

Leighton looks gorgeous at the Marc Jacobs show in NYC wearing Marc Jacobs of course. She paired the dress with Louboutin's ''Salsbourg'' sandals, love it!

That's it so far, I'll add more events as soon as she attends them!

CHANEL Hosts Intimate Dinner in Honour of Blake Lively in NYC.

On Wednesday night Chanel hosted an Intimate Dinner in Honour of Blake Lively in New York, she is their newest ambassador and face of the Mademoiselle Bag's line which is due to be showcased around April...very exciting! How beautiful and happy does she look?

Blake wore this gorgeous Spring 2009 Haute Couture dress at the Dinner, it was a very romantic outfit. Everything she was wearing was either white or pale pink, I thought she looked amazing! Very Chanel like indeed!

Here's the full outfit and those amazing Lolo 69 Louboutins! Many were saying it's very 'Black Swan' looking because of the ballet like shoes and I agree it's gorgeous!

Looking as gorgeous as ever Blake had her usual make-up look, fresh faced with a little smoke on the eyes and a glossy lip! Her jewellery was all by Lorraine Schwartz, those gorgeous platinum green earrings are stunning!

And that amazing hair of hers was tied up messily, I'm just obsessed with Blake's hair...the colour, the styles she tries are all amazing in my books and this is no different! It's a nice contrast to the proper dress and accessories, she's not too done up! Love love love!

P.S: As reported earlier in the week, Blake did not say that her attending the Chanel show on Tuesday would be 'tacky' she herself said she can't make it because of Gossip Girl commitments, however she will attend the dinner on the weekend so I'll keep my eyes open for that!
Such a stupid rumour, not too long ago at the Elle Style Awards she said that she was desperate to attend the Burberry show in London but couldn't because of work....how could she have said this yet called attending shows 'tacky', stupid tabloids!

Academy Awards 2011: Best Dressed!

My favourite event happened last night....the OSCARS! So many beautiful dresses and people, the fashion was spectacular! A lot to get through!!

I've picked my favourites and I'm even going to post all of Anne Hathaway's dresses in a separate post!
So exciting!

  • Mila Kunis in Elie Saab Haute Couture:

I was hoping somebody would wear Elie Saab Couture at this years ceremony and luckily for me it was the beautiful Mila Kunis! She looked like an angel, the lavender looks gorgeous on her, it's a very romantic look and I'm glad she kept everything else simple and to a minimum so that the dress would do the talking. She looks gorgeous and was definitely one of the night's best dressed!

Mila already being ridiculously gorgeous didn't need to much prepping or heavy make-up, the hair is softly up and the make-up is very muted out, the only thing that really stands out on her face are those amazing eyes of hers!

  • Michelle Williams in Chanel Haute Couture:

I always love seeing a Chanel piece on the red carpet and Michelle's couture dress didn't disappoint, she looks lovely and elegant with just the right amount of glamour. A definite up from her Golden Globes disaster!

To add to the already muted tones of her dress she opted for natural make-up with the slightest smoke to her eyes, I think anything heavier would've looked messy on such a clean and gorgeous dress!

  • Anne Hathaway in Valentino:

The lady of the night (apart from Natalie Portman of course!) Anne wore this gorgeous red Valentino dress which had a huge ruffle at the back, she even had Valentino himself with her on the red carpet just in case anything went wrong, lucky girl! If you think this is something wait til' you see Anne's EIGHT costume changes in my next post!

As beautiful as ever, Anne went for a classic matte red lip to compliment her red dress and porcelain skin. I'm not too fond of the highlighted hair because I think she's at her best when she's a dark brunette with very fine highlights at the most but none the less she looks wonderful.

  • Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott:

The lovely Amy wore this gorgeous sequined dress by L'Wren Scott, the colour is amazing and one of the reasons I love the dress so much. It looks gorgeous against her porcelain skin, blue sequins are a sure fire way to be noticed on the red carpet. I love the jewels but I wouldn't have worn the necklace, as beautiful as it is, it's too much for an all over sequined dress.

Amy's hair was beautiful and a talking point among many fashion critics, the romantic waves set the tough dress perfectly and the natural make-up is just right for the pretty Amy.

  • Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana:

Another favourite of last nights, Scarlett's sexy Dolce & Gabbana dress definitely stood out from the crowd, everything from the lace to the colour was fantastic and it looked divine on her. I wasn't surprised she wore D&G seeing as she is the face of their beauty products, Scarlett was one of my absolute favourites for sure!

OMG, could she look any more beautiful?! The orange and gold on the eyes make those green peepers stand out and the peachy sheen on the blush complemented her perfectly, probably my favourite make-up of the night! Oh and the hair, I was staring at it for ages trying to figure out if she's really cut it and yes she has and wow it looks gorgeous, I'm actually a little obsessed with it now!

  • Reese Witherspoon in Giorgio Armani Privé:

Reese wore the simplest of dresses and still managed to stand out, I think she looks gorgeous and very elegant. Some might say it's too simple but I think in some ways its appropriate, she wasn't nominated and was just presenting, she's not trying to steal the fashion crown and I love her for it!

Can I just say, I loved Reese's ponytail! I don't understand the 'Barbie' crap, I think she looked beautiful, even better than those who tried their hardest to look made-up. Her make-up is classic Reese, not too much but the hair definitely stood out, good job Reese!

  • Hilary Swank in Gucci Premiere:

Well hello Hilary! She's on a roll this awards season I didn't think she could trump her SAG dress but she looks breathtaking and she's in feathers again! It's a perfect dress for her, she always bring her A game to the red carpet, definitely someone to look forward to!

So pretty! Hilary always looks lovely at red carpet events and this years ceremony is no different! It's pretty obvious she has great skin and doesn't need to cake on the foundation, she just looks beautiful!

  • Cate Blanchett in Givenchy Haute Couture:

I had no idea Cate was attending but wow! This Givenchy Couture creation is stunning and perfect for Cate, very high fashion and delicate at the same time. She always stuns on the red carpet and this dress got people talking, they either loved it or hated it. I for one love it, it's unique and she looks perfect! The detailing at the front is quite unusual and so is the detailing at the back but then again, that's Couture for you!

Cate is one of my all time favourite beauties, she's so naturally beautiful and delicate looking, just like a doll. Perfectly natural hair and make-up as Cate is known to not over do it.

  • Halle Berry in Marchesa:

Another wow dress of last nights, I wasn't expecting Halle there but when I saw this I was stunned, it's a beautiful dress! Bravo to Marchesa for this creation and to Halle for choosing it! I'm surprised the tulle goes so well with the rest of thee material, it created a very ethereal feel to it. A definite beauty!

Halle is the Queen of the pixie crop, her hair always looks perfect! She looks more and more beautiful with age, she's just amazing!

  • Natalie Portman aka BEST ACTRESS in Rodarte:

She did it!!!! Woohoo! I couldn't be happier for Natalie on her first Academy Award, she truly deserved it! I've seen Black Swan and my goodness it's one hell of a film, Natalie in particular is so fantastic as Nina that she literally compelles you with her acting. A masterpiece and Natalie is so deserving of her Oscar, congratulations to her!

Natalie's chosen designer was Rodarte of course (they also designed all of the Black Swan costumes), the dress is gorgeous on her and fits her baby bump perfectly! Purple is definitely Nat's colour, she tends to wear different shades of it and always looks exquisite. She looks like a winner and hey, she won! Beautiful, as always!

Positively glowing, can you blame her? It's hard to describe just how gorgeous Natalie is so I'll just go ahead and say she's beautiful and leave it at that! The hair and make-up were appropriate for the dress and for the event, she was just perfect, no other words needed!

And that's awards season over, wow, it was great with so many beautiful dresses! Up next: MET Ball!!

Coming Up Next!!

Hey!

It's been quite a while since I've been on here but I have a good reason, I've been so busy with school and what not that it became impossible to do everything including my blog, however I do have a week off and I'm planning on putting it to good use!

I'm going to start updating a little more, I've missed quite a bit of Awards season and I promise to make up for it, I'm going to cover the SAG's, Grammy's, BAFTA's and the Brits very soon!

Toodles!

:)
