Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace - 2012 Golden Globe Awards

The sensational Angelina Jolie was my #1 best dressed lady at the 2012 Golden Globes this year and it's easy to see why. The actress was there because her directorial debut 'In The Land of Blood & Honey' was nominated for 'Best Foreign Language Film', she of course attended with her long-time partner Brad Pitt who also had a nomination. 

Dress: Atelier Versace

Angelina was of course wearing her favourite designer, Versace and obviously, she wore an Atelier piece. Any Angelina fan knows she wears Atelier Versace almost exclusively to big events so it should come as no surprise. The minute I saw Angelina on the red carpet I knew she would end up as my best dressed...I mean, what is there not to love? I don't think anyone looked more beautiful than her, not even the younger actresses - she is one of a kind, a total timeless beauty. 

Her white gown had a sexy thigh split to showcase her long limbs, the gathered fabric at the hip made her waist look extra tiny and the folded red detail was the final piece which blew my mind. I think red is one of the sexiest colours and not many people can pull it off, the way the gown was constructed was really quite simple but its the little details such as the red fold that made it special. She accessorized with a Christian Louboutin clutch and complementary Versace heels. Best dressed of the night, by far. 

Like I said, Angelina had zero competition when it came to beauty. She finalized her look with a simple bun to show off her amazing bone structure, eyeliner on the eyes and of course, that gorgeous bright red lipstick to offset the red on her dress - the whole look is flawless and I could not be happier that she wore the red lipstick plus check out the colour on her nails to match. Beauty at its finest.

Emma Stone in Lanvin - 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Stone was another best dressed attendee at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

The 'Amazing Spider Man' actress completely blew me away with her choice of dress which is why I put her as my number two best dressed of the night. Here she is looking sensational...

Dress: Lanvin (Custom-made) 

Heels: Lanvin 'Opanca' Sandals

Clutch: Cartier Satin Box Clutch

Emma's custom made gown was by her favourite and most worn designer, Lanvin. Her deep plum tulle siren gown also had raspberry panelling on the side insert and strong embroidered shoulders, she accessorized with a crystal eagle belt and heels from Lanvin's Spring 2012 collection. I think the deep plum colour looks divine on her fair skin and red hair plus the raspberry sides give it an edge that other gowns simply didn't have. The sexy thigh split was also a major detail that attracted me to the gown - only someone like Emma could get away with a gown like this at the Golden Globes. I'm officially obsessed with her dress which is why I put her as my #2 best dressed...you can only guess who my #1 was! 

Emma completed her perfect look with a chic chignon and a shimmery smokey eye with plenty of Kohl to offset her tough girl, standout gown. Only Emma could pull something like this off, she's high fashion enough to carry it off with ease and all I can say is, gimme more!

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior - 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Golden Globe nominated actress, Charlize Theron was another superbly dressed attendee at Sunday's event. The South African beauty left me speechless when I saw her on E! that night, she looked like a complete goddess and I'm dying to see what she'll wear at the Screen Actors Guild Awards next Sunday. 

Dress: Christian Dior Haute Couture

Heels: Givenchy Spring 2012 Ankle Strap Sandals

Charlize wowed in her Dior Couture rose silk-chiffon gown. We all knew she would wear Dior but I certainly didn't expect this amazing gown with a sexy thigh slit, draped detail on the hip plus a long train which gave Charlize a lot to work with but she just looked heavenly, as per usual. I think the dusty rose colour of the gown makes her look like a complete goddess and of course, she has the figure to pull off the thigh split to perfection. Absolutely one of the best dressed of the night, I'm in love with it. 

Charlize's look was completed with a side swept bun, light pinky make-up to add to the ethereal element and a glittery headband to make it super girly. She blew me and many others away on that night, I hope this standard continues. 

Jessica Alba in Gucci - 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Jessica Alba is another of my best dressed ladies at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards. The stunning Jessica was on presenting duties with Channing Tatum for the night but she really wowed me on the red carpet with her choice of dress.

The sexy actress looked regal and shined in her custom made gown that I couldn't ignore her, its far too beautiful.

Dress: Gucci Premiére

Clutch: Roger Vivier Fall 2011

Jessica's too-beautiful-for-words evening gown was by Gucci Premiére. The silk, pale lilac gown looked heavenly on her olive skin while the embroidery added that extra something special. Another special detail were the crystal covered organza petals that covered her whole dress which also had a high waisted sash that drapes into a pleated train, the sash around the waist added great definition to her stunning figure. I just love the intricate and delicate detail on this dress, that's what really stood out to me plus the colour looks so delicious on her its impossible to ignore. 

Jessica completed her look with a side parted up-do which showcased some light caramel highlights through her dark locks. Her make-up was pure perfection with flawless skin, shimmery eyeshadow and a pink glossy lip added the final touch. Those Bulgari earrings make such a statement, they were a great choice. Perfection, as always. 

Nicole Kidman in Versace - 2012 Golden Globe Awards

A lot of Hollywood heavyweights attended the 2012 Golden Glove Awards on Sunday and Nicole Kidman was one of them. The Australian beauty surprised everyone with her choice of dress but for me it was a damn good surprise considering she looked beautiful - no complaining here. 

Dress: Versace Spring 2012

Clutch: Roger Vivier 'Rendezvous'  

Nicole's Versace Spring 2012 gown was very body hugging which is quite the surprise for the usually low key  Nicole plus the stud detail which ran all the way down added a classic Versace look. I personally love this dress so much because of how well it fits her, the gold embellished halter top could look wrong but Nicole really worked the hell out of her dress. The colour is perfect against her red hair and fair skin and I'm so glad she went in a different direction for this event, it paid off and I can't wait to see what she wears next!

The beautiful Nicole completed her look with blown out waves which showed of her red locks to perfection and a peachy lip along with Kohl rimmed eyes to add extra flutter. So pretty. 

Salma Hayek in Gucci - 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Salma Hayek was another attendee at the Golden Globes over the weekend, the Mexican beauty was there on presenting duties but by the looks of it, she was dressed to impress.
She looked stunning as always and was as lively and chatty as ever on the red carpet plus lets be honest, she hasn't looked this good since the 2011 MET Gala so it was long overdue!


Dress: Gucci Art Deco Gown

Salma went to her go-to designer, Gucci for her stunning gown but then again we all knew that, right? From the moment I saw the top half I knew it was Gucci because of its similar design to the Spring 2012 collection but the Art Deco gown was fantastic in its own right, the black, glass like skirt was perfect for the bustier which had antique gold embroidery and was the standout piece with it shimmering like diamonds - I just love this dress, its perfect for Salma. 

Salma's big bouncy waves was one of my favourite hair styles of the night, her locks look so voluminous and lush I'm very jealous! Her make-up was also stunning with her sporting a bronze smoky eye along with a peachy lip, pure perfection. 

Jessica Biel in Elie Saab Haute Couture - 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Jessica Biel attended the 2012 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. It was a surprise to see her there but I was so impressed by Jessica's dress that I didn't care about why she was there - she was definitely one of my best dressed overall.

Dress: Elie Saab Fall 2011 Haute Couture

Jessica chose this stunning, ivory Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture gown embroidered with pearls and long sleeves. The gown also had a central split to show of her sexy legs plus I loved the pretty late surrounding it. She looked gorgeous in this gown, its classic Elie Saab: feminine, intricate and sexy - just like Jess! 

The stunning Jessica wore her dark locks in loose waves and her make-up was pretty light with only a little colour on the eyes and a nude gloss. Stunning. 

Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci Premiere - 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Evan Rachel Wood attended the 2012 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday looking as regal as ever. The sexy face of Gucci wore Gucci Premiére, naturally. 

Evan is always impressive on the red carpet and I really thought she shined at this event so she most definitely goes in my Best Dressed List. 

Dress: Gucci Premiére

The ever graceful Evan wore this intricate Gucci Premiére gown, as predicted since she is the face of Gucci after all. The midnight green colour is what first caught my eye because so many actresses had opted for nudes so a pop of colour works wonders - the dress itself is embroidered with overlapping fish scale paillettes  and ostrich plumes while steadily adapting into a full skirt of iridescent feathers. The gown is a work of art and Evan did a wonderful job displaying that. 

Her blonde pixie cut was styled in romantic back comb to let the dress shine and she finished her look off with flawless skin and lovely mauve colour on the lips. Gorgeous as always.
