MTV VMA's 2011: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus attended the VMA's on Sunday looking fantastic in a skin tight Cavalli dress. I'll admit I've never liked Miley but she's really grown on my lately and I don't even know why, I actually like the girl now which is why I decided to include her in my best dressed list and she really did look great on this occasion!


Dress: Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2011 


Jewellery: Lorraine Schwartz

Miley wore this lovely Cavalli dress which has an interesting print as the top half is animal print while the bottom half is flowers, pretty cool! I personally really liked this dress on her and I thought it fit her body perfectly, its sexy but not overly fussy! 

The dress was also backless, if you didn't already know! I like the colour on Miley, it really complements her and its perfect with her accessories, which by the way were all Lorraine Schwartz!

I loved her jewellery, even if it was an insane amount but I thought it added some much needed glitz to her dress, her earrings in particular are giving me serious envy!

Miley looked stunning, her make-up consisted of liquid eye liner and gold rimmed eyes with fluttery lashes, her eyes are definitely her best feature, they're beautiful! I also really liked her eyebrows, so well plucked and bold!! Also, here's a close up of her amazing Lorraine Schwartz earrings - OMG I want!!

MTV VMA's 2011: Britney Spears

Britney Spears attended the awards on Sunday and was also the attendee of honour, rightly so if you ask me! I'm a huge Britney fan, have been since 1998 and have supported and loved her through everything - she reminds me of the years when pop music was amazing and shocking because right now everyone is just copying each other. Her latest album Femme Fatale is one my favourites of 2011, truly the Britney I love - I just adore her no matter what!



Dress: Moschino Chevron Patterned Sequin Romper


Shoes: Gina Cruz Peep Toe Platform Boots

Brit wore this sparkly Moschino romper for her appearance at the Awards which funnily enough I thought was a really short dress at first but nope, its a romper! She looks healthy and in great shape, contrary to what the media say about her. Her look isn't over the top (although I wish it was) but that's OK, Brit doesn't attend many red carpet events so its just lovely to see her anyway. I think she looks great in her outfit, like the Britney I fell in love with! Only thing I and a lot of others would change are her choice of footwear - far too heavy and really shortens her legs, a nude pump would've been a better choice!

Brit's hair & make-up was lovely, cascading blonde waves and a brown smoky eye with nude lips and flawless skin, gorgeous! 

Brit won two awards, yayy!! :)

MTV VMA's 2011: Kelly Rowland

The lovely Kelly Rowland was also in attendance of this years VMA's looking amazing, the new X Factor UK judge looked sensational in a black & gold mini dress by Falguni & Shane Peacock! I've been loving Kelly on the X Factor this year, she's so sweet its just endearing!

Shoes: Christian Louboutin ''Very Mix'' Peep toe pumps

Kelly looked absolutely gorgeous in this Falguni & Shane Peacock dress, its such an eye catcher and very sexy, which is definitely Kelly's style. She likes to show off that amazing body of hers so of course she was going to wear this sexy revealing dress! 

I think the gold in the dress looks beautiful against Kelly's skin and I love the detail, the feather and leather pieces make for an interesting dress, I just love it, she looks like the hottest chick alive and I had to include her! She finishes her look with these gorgeous spiked Louboutins - in the words of Rachel Zoe, I die! 

Kelly's make-up consisted of dark Kohl rimmed eyes with fluttering false eyelashes, nude lips and peachy blush. Total sex bomb!

MTV VMA's 2011: Selena Gomez

The annual VMA's were held on Sunday and an array of musicians were present, I'm a huge fan of the VMA's they were actually my favourite awards show a few years go but recently I haven't really been interested in watching the shows although I do have in interest in the outfits (lol). In my honest opinion the outfits weren't very exciting but a few did catch my attention so I might as well include them, I'm going to writing about each look in separate posts as that's easier so lets get on! First up: Selena Gomez, I haven't blogged about Selena before because I don't see her as much of a fashionista but I genuinely liked her get up this time plus I needed more people to write about (lol)

Selena chose this intricate black Julien MacDonald dress for the VMA's this year, the gothic dress features a lace neckline, short skirt at the front and an overlay at the back with a long train. Its quite different from anything Selena has worn before, its pretty dark and gothic but its appropriate for the VMA's - its all about being dramatic and over the top but Selena does so looking lovely! 

Selena paired her beautiful dress with Brian Atwood pumps and a metallic Judith Leiber clutch, perfect accessories for her stand out dress! I love this look on Selena, its very grown up and come on, she looks hot! 

Her look was finished with smoky eye make-up and an up do, gorgeous!

Zoe Saldana in Valentino - Colombiana Premiere

The lovely Zoe Saldana was spotted attending the second Premiere of her new film, Colombiana in which she plays a female assassin (should be interesting), this time Zoe was at the LA screening of the movie looking gorgeous in a leather Valentino dress. Zoe has really upped the ante for this promotional tour every look has been great and interesting and most definitely worth blogging about!

Zoe wore this beautiful coral leather number from Valentino's Fall 2011 collection which I believe was not shown on the runway but none the less its a beautiful dress! The colour is what initially caught my eye as it looks beautiful against Zoe's skin and of course leather is always eye catching but this piece wasn't as harsh looking as some other leather pieces I've seen on the red carpet lately.

Zoe paired her lovely dress with nude Louboutins and a beautiful Ferragamo clutch, she had the right idea in pairing her dress with nude accessories as anything dark would've really ruined the beauty of it. Some bloggers even preferred this look to her Balmain dress which I can't say I agree with, I think the Balmain is better but this is also a dress to remember for Zoe. 

Lastly, Zoe finished her look with polished hair & make-up, nothing over the top and those earrings are lovely, right?

Leighton Meester at LoveStruck Launch in Soho.

My permanent girl crush, Leighton Meester attended a launch party for Vera Wang's LoveStruck fragrance - of which she is the face of, in Soho a few nights ago. Leighton & Vera have formed a very close friendship and are so fond of each other, I bet Leighton loves being Vera's new muse considering all of the freebies she must get, lucky girl!

Leighton wore this adorable citrine dress from Vera's sister label Vera Wang Lavender which provides cocktail dresses, informal things like this pretty dress - its a lovely colour which looks great on Leigh and its a simple design with chiffon and pleats...

I really like the length of the dress as its just above the knees, its a little playful and flowing plus I'm glad she added the black belt as it gave her waist some definition. It's a very pretty dress with a lovely colour and perfect for the event, I'm glad to see Leighton in a bright colour and something quite girly, I really like it! She finished her look with black Jimmy Choo pumps and Van Cleef & Arpels bangles and rings - really beautiful jewellery which added some sparkle to her outift!

Beautiful Leigh opted for a high top care free bun for her hairstyle and fresh skin with a little smoke on the eyes, lets be honest she doesn't even need make-up she's beautiful enough to go without! Love her so much!

P.S how cute are her mismatched Swarovski earrings? Gorgeous! 

Leighton with the beautiful LoveStruck bottle which is just as stunning in real life and I can confirm the scent is gorgeous!

Love Leighton and can't wait to see both her and Blake at the Toronto International Film Festival in early September!!!

Anne Hathaway's Obsession - Alexander McQueen

The gorgeous Anne Hathaway has been busy promoting her new film One Day all around the world, Anne's character ''Emma'' is a Yorkshire gal so Anne had to adopt a British accent in the process so naturally she's been wearing the UK's biggest designer - Alexander McQueen to all of her major Premiere's such as New York and London. Being one of the biggest actresses in Hollywood means Anne has her pick of the newest collections, in this case both dresses are from McQueen's Resort 2012 collection and of course when being styled by Rachel Zoe, you can't really go wrong.

For the NYC Premiere Anne chose this beautifully detailed dress from McQueen's newest collection, she had the honour of being the first to wear it and looked sensational doing so, the top half of the dress is of course the most exciting part as the rest is a sheeny black but the gold and bronze detailing really give the dress that spark to make it red carpet worthy.

Anne paired her lovely dress which I must say really isn't conventional McQueen - when I first saw it I had no idea it was McQueen but it was a pleasant surprise none the less! Back to the point, Anne chose these beautiful light gold Louboutins that I haven't really noticed before, I'm glad she went for a nude shoe as anything darker would've darkened the whole look considering there's a lot of black on the dress. 

Anne looked beautiful, as usual in wavy two toned hair and a brown smoky eye to accentuate her beautiful eyes, I thought she looked sensational at the NYC Premiere and as far as prettiness goes, she looks better at this Premiere.

For her London Premiere, Anne wore this beautiful white lace dress from the same collection and I must say I prefer this dress to the previous, it looks a lot more classic McQueen hence the lace and detailing but its just generally more appealing to the eye. There's something very eye catching about this dress, its feminine yet quite sexy, I genuinely love it and white is definitely Anne's colour, I hope to see her in it more often during the press tour. 

The lovely Anne paired her one of a kind lace dress with pumps and a clutch from the same collection, I'm in love with the clutch - its such a clean and classic white, its just beautiful but I'm not too sure about the shoes, I feel as though they almost ruined the dress for some people because the colour seems to wash her out, I however will over look them and pay attention to that beauty of a dress! 

Hair & make-up for this Premiere was very simple, not overdone at all - side swept hair and very natural make-up with a little eye liner on the eyes, I prefer the beauty part of the NYC Premiere but the dress of London! Lovely!
